Causa Creations is a boutique game development studio located in Vienna, Austria. Originally established in 2014, the independent company is currently helmed by Georg Hobmeier and Ben Wahl. Our multi-disciplinary team of developers, artists, and designers is dedicated to crafting fully rounded experiences that not only entertain but engage and inform audiences. We see games not merely as entertaining diversions but as meaningful, enriching experiences that can connect us, challenge our perceptions, and give insights into the world around us. We aim to push the boundaries of what games can do through cutting edge innovation and human-centred design.
Causa Creations will work alongside CERTH, Chimera Entertainment, Imperial College London, and cultural institutions to develop and validate AI-driven storytelling and creative tools. Causa Creation’s role in HAMLET is to create datasets for training AI models and integrate generative AI models for adaptive narrative in games, VR and interactive media. We will design interactive AI-based narrative structures and explore generative AI’s role in soundscape adaptation and storytelling while also ensuring an ethical integration of AI-based narrative structures as well as exploring new business models for fair profit distribution and AI-powered co-creation.

Georg’s artistic sensibilities & leadership in the industry have helped to push the medium further into ever new territories… but be warned, hide your chocolate when he enters the room lest he gobble it up.
