Our Partners
CYENS Centre of Excellence (CoE) is a leading research institution in Cyprus specializing in Information and Communication Technologies, with a focus on Interactive Media, Smart Systems, and Emerging Technologies. It is a collaborative initiative between Cyprus’ three public universities – the University of Cyprus, the Cyprus University of Technology, and the Open University of Cyprus – the Municipality of Nicosia, and two renowned international partners: the Max Planck Institute for Informatics (Germany) and University College London (UK).
CYENS plays a key role in the HAMLET project as a research and technology partner, focusing on developing industry-specific enablers tailored to the performing arts and gaming sectors within the Cultural and Creative Industries. Its work includes creating advanced AI-driven tools that analyze and generate dance styles, translate music into movement, and integrate immersive designs for dance and theater. These innovations aim to enhance artistic expression and interactive storytelling, seamlessly blending physical and digital experiences. Additionally, CYENS provides technical expertise and support through the Collaborative Community Hub, ensuring the efficient use of AI enablers and facilitating resource sharing among partners. Furthermore, CYENS collaborates with project partners to transpose live performances into immersive XR/VR environments, enriching the virtual audience experience and expanding creative possibilities.
